This is the first film, by me, the esteemed Romero, on the theme - a zombie, which at the end of time became exalted to the status of a cult. I will not dissemble, the film did not make a special impression on me, but it was very interesting to watch the acquaintances who, in more of his contemporary works, liked me very much and now every new work of this director is a cinematic holiday for me.

All as always - the main characters are locked in a house around which hungry zombies are wandering, the tension increases with every attempt of the ghouls to get inside to have supper, the characters reveal themselves, there is some acting art that unfortunately does not shine, and to put it mildly, even if given the temporary canyon between me and the film. Let the actor's play not so hot in places, but the script is classically verified to the ingenious simplicity, I'm generally impressed by films that, without any hints, in the form of unnecessary dialogues, go straight to the action, and the actual tie takes place during the play and the string, very curious. Slightly depressing is the quality of makeup, which is practically absent from some zombies, but this can be forgiven, since low-budgetity is not a flaw. The only real minus of the film is that the main characters understood and moved, at times much slower than the zombies, when the situation assumes to pull off all the way, they froze with a stupid expression that even at times I began to get confused where the zombies are, and where the person is, of course it's jokingly-exaggerated, but this shortcoming really catches your eye and slightly spoils the general impression of the film.

Of course, there are shortcomings in skill, lack of money, but still, the hand is packed correctly, whatever one may say and the future work of the director. The film will not be recommended for viewing, just those who need to and so will see, I mean fans of this genre and will get the same pleasure as I do.
