I do not like black and white films, so I looked at the color version. At first the film did not like me at all, I even wanted to turn it off, but since I read a lot of positive reviews before watching, I decided to watch everything. And rightly so, the minute on the tenth begins all the most interesting and impressive, and to the very end does not let the viewer take a single step from the screen.

The main thing before starting the preview is to set yourself up for a while, to the idea that there was nothing like this before the film, and then you can quite feel the horror that is undoubtedly present in this picture. The beginning of course is not too impressive, and the first zombie that met is not very much like a living dead man, but the rest obviously did not disappoint.

As for the actors' play, it is very unofficial, someone does not finish playing, for example a black actor, someone overacts, for example, an actress who played Barbra, and someone is simply gorgeous, for example, an actor who played the role of Mr. Cooper. But this is only if judged by current standards, and at that time excessive theatricality was in the order of things.

I will note a great atmosphere, which is evoked not only by very suitable music, but also by story moves, and by the situation in which heroes fall. Separately it is worth noting about the radio and TV, which throughout the film alerted the heroes and mainly the viewer about what is happening in the world. It is from news releases that we learn that the strange behavior of people on the streets is nothing but a virus that animates dead people. And this virus was not developed by the military, as in many subsequent parodies of this film, but it appeared from space, which once again proves the genius of the great Romero.

And of course you can not say about the ending. Practically all films of that time had a happy ending, it was in the order of things. And the brilliant Romero decided that if you were to be the ancestor of the genre, inventing a new one, then you must act to the end, and came up with an ending such as it should be in such films.

In the end, I can say that the film turned out to be very good, atmospheric and terrible, truly a classic of the genre!

My opinion about this film a few days after watching was ripe. Although in reality, it is not much different from first impressions.
