Not outdated classics

Sometimes it's interesting to look at some really old movie and at the same time find something really fresh in it. It was incredibly interesting to see the original Night of the Living Dead, which became the forerunner of not only films about zombies, but also, in part, only trash of cinematography. Of course, because of the technical implementation of perceiving the tape as a horror film probably will not work, but the age of the tape does not hurt to enjoy it as a work of art.

The plot of the film is deliberately primitive and is based on the underlying fear of people before the corpses. It is difficult to imagine something that is simultaneously so familiar and so repulsive as a dead human body. And George Romero skillfully plays with this fear, forcing his characters to be both afraid of opponents and really disgusted with them.

There is relatively little violence in the film, especially against the background of modern zombie films. A lot of time is given to the buildup of fear and due to the measured pace of the narrative the events acquire an unprecedented emotional weight. Thanks to skilful direction you even begin to worry about the characters, despite the fact that they are played in general, it does not matter.

Of course now the film is unlikely to make a strong impression on the viewer, as at the time of release. But he definitely stood the test of time.
