The case of uwe boll
The fact that I chose the film for tonight unsuccessfully, I realized after an extremely inexpressive and dismal monologue of the heroine at the very beginning.
Indeed, the film is a collection of gloom and stamps. The black and silver picture and the shootouts remind the Matrix. Naturalistic footage of the resurrection of the main vampire and the transformation of a person into a werewolf as a way of presenting information are borrowed from the Fight Club. You can also see some references to Blade.
What is happening on the screen is striking in its senselessness. There are vampires and werewolves who have been fighting each other for centuries. But they prefer to do it with firearms. If joining the ranks of one of the clans gives nothing except hemorrhoids in the form of shootings in all spheres, then why, actually, become one of them? In this light, the scene where the brave boy Michael Corwin pulls the vampire out of the water and makes her lungs very touching looks very touching. The vampire, in turn, very touchingly cleans this water and recovers. But gentlemen, aren't the vampires dead? Do they need to breathe and they can choke? Or did I miss something?
Dialogues are also striking in their stupidity. Heroes do not talk to each other, but only bykuyut and swing rights. Actors do not know how to play, and Russian substitutes do not even try to play for them. And I can understand them.
Only one scene, where two types in police uniform and Corvina were being brought to a cheerful industrial complex, and when a mutation began, one of them, with a cry of “We're not taking it!” Clutching at a syringe, caused me to get hysterical. Such a scene would do the translation honor from Goblin. And then everything is quite serious. Truly, the best trash is obtained when they were not going to do it.
Probably, the authors hoped to hide all these holes behind the stylishness and coolness of the action. Vampires, of course, wear gothic dresses and skin-tight leather suits. Vampires walk in long cloaks. Could such a gothish glamor be part of a vampire cult? Is blood worse absorbed without it? You begin to believe Pelevin that the main task of a vampire is to look like a metrosexual who has a lot of money. No, of course, it could add atmosphere to another film, but here, with universal banality and wretchedness, it looks like another stylish stake from expensive imported aspen in the heart of common sense.
The manner of the protagonist asking for a visit starts to annoy with a kick in the door to the middle of the film. But what about the legend that vampires cannot enter another's house without an invitation?
In general, a complete disappointment. I did not even have the strength to watch the ending. Lack recently on normal vampire films.
